Fuck me, I know we had turned to shit, but if we play like that against the likes of Stoke, we might as well call it a different sport.

If we can defend like that against City, Chelsea and Arsenal we should be very hard to beat for the rest of the season. Personally feel he should keep these tactics against the lesser teams and the players also mentally cannot afford to drop their game.

Defensively i loved how our back 5 were tight and narrow, our defensive shape was excellent. Yes we need more going forward and have to keep the ball better, but i thought we were giving the ball away due to tiredness. If the opposition has the ball that much then its hard work to stay mentally alert.

Credit to Moyes, i wasnt his biggest fan but he has got us working as a team which is all i wanted as a very start.

3 very organised & hard working performance on the spin now. 4 bonus points we wouldn’t expect without any damage to the goal difference.

Test is now to win a game where we have to take the initiative. Hopefully the team are much more confident now.

So very rugged and well-drilled performances but not as good a performance as Chelsea, I agree.

Arthur seemed reluctant to try and take on his man (and maybe that is down to Bellerin) and it took away an outlet.

Lanzini also a little slow for whatever reason.

Need to learn to calm down in initial possession. Arsenal especially are not going to press you hard, especially last night.

Back three did well, Ogbonna needed the conditioning it seems as his one on one defending is back to very good. Reid was solid and Cresswell did very well even when Giraud figured out that he should be peeling off to him on long balls.

Great without the ball, woeful with it in the second half.

Couldn't get out cause we don't have the ability to pass to each other.

Due to the total lack of professionalism shown by the players under the old regime. Moyes has little option but to strip things right back to basics. He didn't get us into this mess just hope he can drag us out

Good point, but I take Sold's point, Arsenal aren't at their best right now and Southampton on Sunday did a lot better against them than we did. Still a good point, real shame we hit the bar last minute.

Need to beat Stoke to show that we are progressing.

We ain't mid table ..can't afford chances against likes of goons..not pretty granted..but what's needed right now.

Bournemouth went for it tonight and played really well at Man United but still lost. I'd love the team to play the West Ham way, push forward and entertain but right now it's about clean sheets and building confidence and a point is a good point. If we were sitting 8th and doing ok then yep I think Arsenal were there for the taking but we aren't 8th so every point is a bonus and a confidence builder.

To be fair we would probably have created more if the out ball had been better,. We gave it away at times far too cheaply but hopefully that will come. Moyes has made us more solid and in interviews he himself has an air of confidence that he didn't give off at Sunderland, but the next few games will show where we are more because against those around us we will hopefully try to attack more.

It's a decent start for him though. Really pisses me off when I hear the likes of Mourinho, Wenger and Guardiola knocking teams for defending against them, I mean what are you meant to do, play an open game and lose by 4 or 5?! It's a tactical plan and whilst not pleasing on the eye especially it had got us 4 points in the three games where I suspect most of us couldn't see us getting one point.

Good to see some players getting it back a bit as well. Oggy and Cresswell outstanding and credit to Nobes tonight. Yes he can be off the pace at times but he made some good interceptions and that pass to Chico was world class. Agree with others though I thought Wilshire was outstanding but I doubt the fella could string 10 games together without getting injured sadly.

We nearly did take them at the end.

Not bad considering we have the worst owners, manager, squad and stadium in the league.

It could have been worse, we could still have Bilic and lost by a hatfull in total disgrace.
